About Us The Northern Alliance Youth of the Arts program, was founded by Darwin Eagleton in 2003, is a Non-Profit 501(C)3 Corperation based out of Portland, Oregon, and the SW Washington area. Northern Alliance has been a member of Winter Guard International (WGI) since 2004. In its first annual season using three area high schools. The group competed in the Northwest Marching Band Circuit in every season as a Independent Drumline placing first in their division at three of the local Winter Drumline shows. All members are young adults between 14 to 23 years of age. The group also has a additional Drum Academy program for younger kids who are just starting out, or who would like to learn how to play drums from a professional private teacher. The Academy Drum Program, is for anyone who wants to learn the art of being a percussionist. These two programs are open to anyone who wants to join. The performing group will be performing all over the Northwest, as well as in Oregon,California,Las Vegas Nevada and we hope to attend the World Championships in Dayton,OH sometime in the near future. The group has a very talented staff this year, and with a few additions this year they hope to see great changes ahead for the 2009 winter season. The staff is devoted to providing the performers of our program a heathly and safe environment which allows them to enhance their social skills,communication capabilities,a sense of responsibility and commitment, and discipline. These are thhe primary leeson the staff of The Northern Alliance Percussion wish to instill in the members of our organization. We are a Non-Profit Youth Group Corperation, that hopes to help schools and young adults in and around our communities. Our mission is to help those who want to continue on with the Marching Percussion activity after High school or during the High school years. We are also trying to help continue the growth of the Music and the Performing Arts within our community.Our goal is to help enrich the kids of our community and to help build stronger Marching Bands and Drum Corps programs in our area.
