Darwin Eagleton: Director of Operations/Caption Head/Writter and Arranger Darwin Eagleton has been a major influence on the Marching Band Circuit in the Northwest. He was a student at MT. Hood Community College for three years and received his Associates Degree in music. He also attended the nationally renowned Jefferson High School of Music and the Arts in Portland, Or. Mr. Eagleton has taught his expertise at several Middle Schools, High Schools and Percussion ensembles in the Portland-Vancouver area for twenty five years. He taught the nationally known Sunset Apollos for ten years (From 1988-1991 and 2001- 2004). He has won top honors several times at different competitions throughout the Northwest with different schools such as Skyview High School, Columbia River High School, Grant High School out of the Portland-Vancouver area. He also was the Caption Head and a marching member of the Spartans Drum & Bugle Corp out of Vancouver, Wa . Mr. Eagleton has taken marching percussion ensembles to a higher standard in the Northwest and all over the country. He has a passion for teaching and working with his staff. He is currently the Director, and the Caption Head of the Northern Alliance Percussion youth of the Arts program. DC has many years of experience working with different Corps on the West Coast. We are pleased to have DC with us this year. Harry Hopkins/writer and arranger/Tech (Bio coming soon) Ira Watson -Bass Tech (503)-869-3030 Ira comes to us from the Spartans, and Marauders Drum Corps and we are excited to have him has the 2009 Bass line Tech. Darryl Pemberton : Show Designer - darryl@neweradance.com Darryl comes to us at a great time in our organization, when our organization is looking to grow and expand. Darryl has written, and designed shows for Marching Bands, and Drum Corps all over the country, and is a former marching member of The Cadets of Bergen County. Daryl... aged out in 1995 as a member of The Cadets, and then became a staff member for the next few years. He is currently writting, and teaching bands in the Beaverton area and back east. Beaverton,OR is also now where he calls home, and teaches the Aloha Warriors Marching Band. Most of his educational values and teaching comes from the east coast working with The Cadets and the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps as the Visual Caption Head currently. We are very excited to have a teacher with such high standards and values join our already talented 2008 Percussion staff team. Darryl currently resides in San Antonio, Tx and is the Visual Caption Head of the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps in San Antonio, Tx. 2009 President of the Board of Directors-Bruce Barnes (360)-606-9900 Bruce is the Father of current marching member Jeff Barnes and comes to us from the Battleground area. Ben is also Darwin's best friend from High school Bill Franks- (608)239-0480 Bill is a former marching mamber with the Madison Scouts Drum Corps, Madison,WS. Bill and Darwin taught the Capital Sound Drum Corps in Madison,WS in 2006 together. Joe Geist- (360)773-9117 Is a current marching member with The Northern Alliance Percussion and also marched in Spartans Drum Corps from Vancouver,WA. Joe is also a former student from Columbia River High in Vancouver,WA. He spent several years marching in Darwin's drum programs over the years. We are so excited to have all the new 2009-2010 Board members.
